Our town is a friendly, rural community located 20 minutes from New Hampshire's beautiful seacoast. With about 1,400 household, the population has nearly quadrupled to 4,200 inhabitants from its earliest count of 1,064 in 1767. Brentwood's 16.97 square miles are seated in the Rockingham County's geographical center and it is home to many of the county's support services.

    The Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office will begin accepting credit cards (online and in office) for all transactions, on August 1st!! There will be a 2.79% convenience fee (based on the total amount due) processed with each transaction. This fee is paid to the vendor used to process these transactions.

  • Trash Collection over the holiday

    Due to Independence Day, there will be NO trash collection on Wednesday, July 4th.   If you regular collection day is Wednesday, your trash will be collected on Thursday, July 5th.  Tuesday's collection will not be effected.  Please remember all trash shall be out curbside by 6:30 am.

    The Brentwood Fireworks will be held on July 4th behind the Rockingham County Nursing Home. Festivities will begin at 6pm with the fireworks going off at 9pm.

    Prescott Road will be closed Wednesday, June 20th from Scrabble Road to North Road until further notice.
