       Kindergarten                      Girls:  3rd – 8th Grade

       1st/2nd Grade                        Boys:  3rd  -  8th Grade

     

     

    Kindergarten Practice/play as a group for one hour Saturday mornings (Swasey gym).  The first half practicing individual skills and basketball fundamentals.  The second half a structured game with the hoops lowered.  The goal is to introduce the game of basketball to young players, working on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing together.

     



     1st and 2nd graders: Play on coed teams.  Practice/play for one hour Saturday mornings (Swasey gym). The first half practicing individual skills and basketball fundamentals.  The second half a structured game with the hoops lowered.  The goal is to introduce the game of basketball to young players, working on the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and playing together as a team.  Coaches instruct players during games as well as practice time. Open gym night for additional playing time is offered twice a month and optional for players.

     



     3rd-6th graders: "Seacoast League". Play Home games at CMS gym in Stratham. *Non-coed teams.

     Practice: 1 night per week,  Gym and day TBD

    Games: 1 game per week, Saturday mornings. Gym Locations: Kensington, East Kingston, N. Hampton, CMS, SMS. Greenland.

     Travel Required:  Stratham, Greenland, Brentwood, Newfields, North Hampton, E. Kingston

     Objective: To build on players individual basketball skills, reinforcing fundamentals while introducing basic and simple team plays.  High emphasis on simple fundamentals such as: dribbling without traveling, shooting, rebounding (boxing out), passing (different options), setting picks, how to play defense, working together as a team, and the importance of sportsmanship. 

     



    7th & 8th Graders: "Lamprey River League". Home games are played at Talbot.*Non-coed teams.

    Practice: 1 night per week, Gym and day TBD.

    Games: 1 game per week on Saturday or Sunday. Gym Locations: Raymond, Nottingham, Talbot, Sanborn, Chester, Candia.

    Travel Required: Raymond, Candia, East Kingston, Epping, Nottingham, Newfields, Sanborn, and Chester.

    Objective: Have fun! This league does not cut players. The goal is to improve on basic basketball fundamentals, while learning new skills. Sportsmanship and teamwork are a major emphasis. Develop players to transition into High School Basketball.




     Season runs approximately Dec. 1 through February 16. Practices start in November

    Registration cost: K-2nd ($50),  3rd- 6th ($80), 7th-8th ($90)

     (Families registering three or more players -  first two children at regular fee, $20 for additional children...third child that receives discount must be in a lower, or equal, program than siblings)

     ** Additional $3 fee for online registration

    TANG SOO DO CLASSES

    Tang Soo Do is a Korean Martial Art comprised of both hard and soft techniques. It emphasizes whole body physical training. It’s beneficial for self-discipline, self-defense and health.

    Classes are available Monday and Friday at the Brentwood Community Center.

     

    Classes are taught by Retired Law Enforcement office Bob Meegan. He is currently a 4th degree Black Belt with the World Tang Soo Do Association and recently recognized by the association  for his 35 years as an instructor.

     

    6:30-8:00pm  

    Enrollment is continual,

    so you may begin at any point.

    Cost:  $60/single/mo.    $100/family/mo. (2 or more)
